Challenge accepted. Well, I wasn’t supposed to post anything else today considering that I released my earlier post about 5 questions I constantly ponder about (do take a look, there’s me talking about Maths, Nice Guys among other topics somewhere in there). That is, I guess, as close to reading my normal writing (this is quite different considering I’m just writing motivated by a challenge)
Today’s daily prompt is in fact: Write an entire post without using any three-letter words.
Which in my opinion is slightly ironic since there is actually a three letter word in the eighth word of the prompt (prompt containing a three letter word doesn’t count, considering it wasn’t in fact written by me). However, it is a really good prompt. Really challenging, considering that immediately doing this takes away a whole load of conjunctives among everything that I can’t afford to utilise in my vocabulary thanks to this.
This post will just be me talking about my hours in school, my long afternoon, along with my agonisingly long evening.
So today I started off at school with Additional Maths. Delightful. Linear programming is just going to be a distant memory in around a week’s time, which will be when I will require to revise to achieve a proper understanding in concepts I need to learn. (Note: Excuse me if I accidentally slip any three letter words into this post, I’m trying my best, however sometimes words do just accidentally slip past my fingers. I’m doing a whole load of backspacing along with double-checking as I listen to some music)
Next up, Economics. It is a subject that I have grown to love as lessons wear on. Today we went into deflation – this being defined as ‘sustained decrease in general price level of an economy’. We talked about causes of deflation. Upon reflection, that’s really everything that we learnt today. It is either that, or I really need to listen more in class.
Third lesson: Chemistry. Bore-fest. I just wanna sleep in this lesson every single time.
Fourth lesson: Geography. Test results returned. Satisfactory 84%, definitely could have done better, although it’ll do. Went through mark scheme after mark scheme going through WWWs (what went well) along with EBIs (even better if). Case study – strong. Easy, simple marks to take – I messed up.
I’m just dying at this point in time. My badminton coach killed me. Made me dash here, then made me go to an entirely opposite corner. He is seriously going to cause my painful death in my very near future. I already foresee it happening next week. Horrors.
Going to sleep really soon!

ASIDE: This is where I review what I’ve just done, not counted in the challenge.
Wow this was difficult. I feel like using all the three letter words that I was unable to use right now. Here’s just a short list of the toughest words for me to avoid in response to the prompt:
- the
- but
- and
- eat (because I’m a fat bastard)
- it’s (in terms of how much I wanted to use it
- all
Sorry if it was a bit disjointed and difficult to read, it was quite simply a tough challenge to respond to. Do look around on my blog for my other writings and even my response to previous prompts.
Bravo. I tried but I needed ‘the’ as ‘a’ was not specific enough. Great post.
It must be said : Well done ! If only I could do likewise
